I love this song. Although I have known Momoe for a long time, I don't really know her songs that well.

It was a great song. Momoe reportedly entered the entertainment world because of her idol, Hideki Saijo, though I find it weird because they seem to debut at around the same time, so probably no validity to this rumor.
I haven't seen this since the 80s. I know that Judy doesn't do a tribute to Momoe on this program (like the other female singers - I love this segement. So, did my family, even my mother), but Hideki did right? Did he sing with Hiromi Go and Noguchi Goro?
So, you also read that she was pressured? I can't remember why? Was it because they were giving more attention to Seiko? Momoe wasn't from Sun Music was she? I thought she was from Hori Productions, though I know that they share the same Sony brand.
BTW, Akina was there too ... Hamu is just as puzzled as I was when she said that though Akina liked Momoe, she never bought any Momoe albums. I wouldn't blame her because her albums were mostly crap, but what could one do when they release two albums a year.
Her singles were great though, so Patrick, you should get her Best Collection, if you get the chance. My tip is to get what I have, which is the Momoe Yamaguchi 33 Singles because it is a special package that contains all her single covers in there in CD sleeve size. Definitely a must buy. Naoko did that for her best "Naoko 22 Singles" but only in LP format. It was more innovative because that contained not alternative single covers (not the ones that eventually were released). Now, only if Akina would do that too ...
